CULTURAL LESSONS





During the last ten years of Edulingua, in addition to conducting teaching lessons, training and doing publishing consultancy, it sends its teachers all over the world to offer highly successful cultural lessons for students of all levels.
These classes are composed of mini-conferences of about an hour and a half, dealing in an engaging and educational way some of the most famous and cherished topics of our culture.
The use of various types of technology, using costumes and props, tastings of typical products, concert or theatrical lessons, and much more: these techniques make learning more pleasant and surprising the public with quality content, understandable and out of the ordinary, are our main objectives.
The research to make our lessons and the experiences we have been provided by giving the lessons have given us the perfect material to create our own books, published by the best Italian editors of the sector.



FLAVORS OF ITALY!
A JOURNEY INTO ITALIAN GASTRONOMIC CULTURE



Lessons are intended for all lovers of good Italian food, this class presents characters, products, stories and recipes of the gastronomic heritage of our country beyond the most common stereotypes. It is an ideal path that goes from the aperitif to the dessert, to the discovery of curiosity and details not noticed by many.



A SHORT HISTORY OF ITALIAN GASTRONOMY



From the Etruscan frugality to the excesses of imperial Rome, from the recipes of medieval convents to Renaissance splendours: this lesson offers a historical overview of the evolution of taste in the gastronomic tradition of the Beautiful Country, with foods and preparations that are sometimes still current and sometimes ... "impossible" nowadays.



ITALIAN CULINARY DOES NOT EXIST? AN INTRODUCTION TO REGIONAL GASTRONOMY.



Italian cuisine has a clear and evident importance abroad, but is complex and controversial in Italy. In fact, in the Peninsula, the cuisine has many regional characteristics, with profound and interesting differences from city to city. We offer a lesson with great wealth of details.



ITALIAN EMIGRATION THROUGH FIGURATIVE ART



The history of millions of people who in the last century and a half left Italy in one of the greatest mass migrations that has happened in modern history. With a particular emphasis on painting, this lesson presents artists and works that have told one of the most important and dramatic periods of our country.



A WINE COUNTRY: HISTORY, CULTURE, AND TASTING TECHNIQUES



This lesson is an introduction to the Italian oenological world, the historical origins, the production peculiarities, the wine varieties and a short guide to the tasting techniques with practical advice. In collaboration with some Marche wineries where, if logistically possible, to organize a real tasting at the end of the presentation.



ITALY ON THE SCENE: CITY AND LANDSCAPES OF THE ITALIAN CINEMA



The extraordinary cities and breathtaking landscapes of the Beautiful Country have always provided an ideal set for setting films that have made the history of Italian and Hollywood cinema. The lesson offers a vast overview of famous productions shot in some of the most evocative places of the Peninsula, through the reasonable vision of unforgettable pieces.



ITALIAN LANGUAGE GESTURES



If there is a distinctive characteristic that identifies the Italians is their proverbial ability to express themselves without saying a word … But how did this code of communication come about and why did it develop so much in Italy? This lesson aims to provide an interesting theoretical framework on the phenomenon, to then involve the participants in an intercultural "contest" with the sound of gestures!



ITALIAN OBJECTS



What is the legacy of great Italian artistic creativity nowadays? This lesson presents a fascinating narrative path through images that tell anecdotes and curiosities of the "Italian objects" that have become famous in the world and have changed our daily lives, always keeping alive the brilliance that identifies our culture.

Studying the history of a new culture is not easy, but with music, for its collective and unifying character, can allow it to be done from a perspective that unites the great leader with the most humble of servants. This lesson, in a dynamic and engaging way, aims to bring the students into contact with the history of Italy without academic visions, but through the rhythms and the music that have marked the path to the present day.



DANTE AND THE MARCHE REGION



Well known, Dante is the inventor of the Italian language, and for many the founder of the national culture. Among the many territories that mention the Sommo, the Marche region has a special place and you can discover the excellence of this region, still representative and famous throughout Italy. This lesson traces the lines of the comedy in search of curiosities and events related to the region "that sits between Romagna and that of Carlo".



DIALECTS AND ITALY



Up to today, despite the advent of globalization and standardization imposed by the mass media, dialects live and represent a deep identity of our people, who before being Italian are from Molise, Piedmonte, Marche, Florentine … Starting from a sociolinguistic basis and a history of language, this lesson presents some characteristics and peculiarities of dialectal varieties, in a dynamic and engaging way, thanks to the help of music.



THE ROMANESQUE IN THE MARCHE REGION



After the deep stab given by the fall of the Roman Empire, Romanic art marked a first attempt to recreate figurative language based on the typical forms of Roman art and referred to the ideas of peace, harmony and unity among the European peoples. This lesson highlights how the Romanesque found a surprisingly fertile land in the Marche region where architectures of great interest have been produced.



ITALY: INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE



Stereotypes gather the images that foreigners have of the people on our country, the result of simplifications on the attitudes of others, sometimes generating distrust. This lesson, in a fun but intensive way, tries to highlight those typical characteristics of the way of taking the life of Italians, aware of the limit of generalizations presented. All this to give a practical and curious idea of what "it is good to do or not do" when you are in Italy.



SECRETS AND BEAUTY: A PATH THROUGH ITALIAN ART



This lesson offers an interactive way to enjoy the best of art (not just Italian), so as to get closer to the language of the works and get in touch with what is transmitted by the artists through their brushes and chisels, not just stopping at the initial emotion in front of a masterpiece or the pure aesthetic judgment that follows.



THE ITALY OF ART



In this lesson some periods of the history of Italian art are told in an involving way through the analysis of some extraordinary works of key figures (Caravaggio, Hayez, Leonardo, Botticelli), immersing the observer in distant times, which are surprisingly close to us thanks to the universal beauty of art.​

FOR A UNIVERSAL ITALIAN LITERATURE



Saints, politicians, scientists, musicians, military ... not only the "writers" properly said have made the history of Italian literature, but also many extraordinary characters are equally able to make a fundamental contribution. This lesson will be full of literary surprises, providing at the same time an interesting stylistic analysis of the evolution of the Italian language.



UMBRIA: THE CHRISTIAN AND MEDIEVAL HEART OF CENTRAL ITALY



This lesson creates an ideal course between the cities of Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia, based on absolute historical relevance (to understand the birth and development of the medieval commune) and artistic (to retrace the history of St. Francis through what the splendid frescoes of Assisi have handed down to us) of the three beautiful Umbrian cities.



ITALIAN IN THE BALL



The most famous sport in the world, from its origins to its developments, relived in a fun way, pleasant and engaging for everyone (fans or not) through images, music, short movies and small games that call into question the audience to spend an hour of fun using the Italian language (in terms of understanding, but also of production) in a spontaneous and lively way.



EVERYTHING THAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT ITALIAN CUISINE



Are you sure you know everything about the most famous Italian foods? Or are there any lesser-known fundamental aspects that can help you choose and enjoy the best of Italian cuisine? This lesson will allow participants to have a broader vision of the secrets behind Italian food and wine culture.



PRACTICAL GUIDE TO ITALIAN INSTITUTIONS



The structure of the parliament and the figure of the President of the Republic, the process of law and the role of government, the structure of local administrations and the judiciary, the political line and the electoral system: this lesson wants to explain, in a simple and schematic way the current characteristics of the main Italian institutions.



ABOUT LOVE: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ARTISTIC REPRESENTATIONS IN ITALIAN CULTURE



This lesson presents in a narrative way a path that will guide the participants between painting and opera, sculpture and cinema, literature and design, poetry and music ... looking, between past and present, of the most engaging representations of love, a favorite theme of culture of the Beautiful Country.



CIAK PLAYS! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSIC OF ITALIAN CINEMA



The most famous soundtracks, the music that gave life to the most famous scenes of Italian cinema, the most famous songs sung in the big screen and much more: this lesson will offer the opportunity to listen and see authentic jewels of Italian film heritage and, why not, to sing together.
